MARYLAND ART PLACE WILL HANDLE THE AUCTION AND THE ARTISTS AND ALL ARTISTS ARE WELCOME TO CREATE A MASK. EVEN THOSE WHO DON’T THINK THEY’RE AN ARTIST BUT YOU LIKE TO CRAFT AND GLUE OR DO ANYTHING AT ALL ARE WELCOME TO CREATE A MASK AND IT WILL BE AUCTIONED OFF. 60% GOING TO THE FUND. THE ORGANIZATION IS PROVIDING A BASE, A CAN VUS CUT-OUT MASK WITH STRAPS READY TO PUT ON. SO THE ARTIST CAN PAINT DIRECTLY ON THEM. WHAT IS THE LGBTQ FUND >> THE FUND SUPPORTS A VARIETY OF ORGANIZATIONS IN BALTIMORE WHO PROVIDE THINGS LIKE PEER COUNSELING, SUICIDE PREVENTION, ADVOCACY TO ADDRESS INEQUITIES IN SCHOOLS, FOSTER CARE SYSTEMS AND JUVENILE SYSTEMS, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR TEACHERS WHO ARE SUPPORTING LGBTQs, HEALTH SERVICES, ABOUT $100,000 HAVE BEEN GIVEN OUT SO FAR IN BALTIMORE BY THE FUND. >> IF SOMEBODY WANTS TO GET INVOLVED, HOW CAN THEY DO IT AND WHAT IS THE DEADLINE? >> THE DEADLINE TO PICK UP A MASK FROM THE ARTIST PERSPECTIVE IS SEPTEMBER 30.
