| Community Health

The new $32 million YMCA at the Piscataway Community Center (YPCC) will open on Thursday, Oct. 1.

The facility will feature three indoor pools, a full-size basketball court, large fitness center, indoor running track, two golf simulators, dance and art studios, cafe and an outdoor spray park.

“Our fantastic community center is a wonderful example of what good planning and prudent financing can bring,” Mayor Brian C. Wahler said. “The $32 million facility was funded from the revenue of new state-of-the-art logistics centers and other positive redevelopment in Piscataway but no residents’ tax monies.”

“With amenities for all generations and family friendly pricing, it is the jewel of Piscataway,” Wahler continued. “We look forward to many in central New Jersey improving their health and having fun in our Township.”

A Piscataway family of up to two adults and up to four children can join for $65 a month. For those
