A Community Thrives is a new approach to social impact programs that was developed through a collaboration across the entire USA TODAY NETWORK.

Four northwest Louisiana nonprofits are working to qualify for a share of $2 million being awarded by A Community Thrives.

But first they need your support. In order to become eligible for that money, organizations must raise matching funds. Learn more about the nonprofits online and sign up to donate.

A Community Thrives is sponsored by the Gannett Foundation and the USA TODAY network, the parent company of The Times. The program invests in charities that support education, arts and culture, wellness and other community-building initiatives.
