New Funding Round Led by Israeli-based Qumra Capital Marks Significant Increase in Valuation for IIoT Leader

Augury, a leading AI-based Machine Health solution provider, today announced it has secured $55 million in funding. The additional capital will be used to sustain and accelerate Augury’s rapid growth and to capitalize on the opportunity to help leading industrial companies improve the reliability, resilience and efficiency of their manufacturing operations. This Series D round was led by Qumra Capital, a leading late-stage venture capital firm based out of Israel. It includes participation from existing key investors, including Insight Venture Partners, Eclipse Ventures, Munich Re Venture Capital, Qualcomm Ventures and Lerer Hippeau Ventures. The ‘Empire’ star will be the face of a brand new series titled ‘Peace of Mind with Taraji’, which will be co-hosted by the actress and Tracie Jade Jenkins, who is the executive director of the Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation, which was set up by Taraji to help end the stigma around mental health.

According to Deadline, Taraji and Tracie will use the series to dive into issues of mental health, particularly those affecting the Black community, and will interviews experts, celebrities, and everyday people.

The hosts will also show viewers how to show support and combat stigma surrounding the treatment of mental health issues.

Healthy Savannah partners with Enmarket for annual health education Series

For the past seven years, Healthy Savannah and Enmarket have partnered to bring the community the Encourage Health Education series.

“What we do is basically have four events every year, and each of them focuses on something that is upstream wellness,” Healthy Savannah Director Paula Kreissler said.

Maryland has launched an online education series to try to help the nearly 45% of adults in the state who have diabetes or prediabetes.

The free webinars can be found here on the Maryland Department of Health’s website. They’re intended for health care providers, people who have diabetes or who are at-risk of developing it.

Working to prevent Type 2 diabetes can save people a lot of money and hassles, according to Maryland’s medical director of the Center for Population Health Initiatives.
