Donald Trump insisted on Thursday he was ready to resume campaign rallies and felt “perfect” only one week after his Covid-19 diagnosis.

Sidelined from the trail because of his bout with coronavirus, President Donald Trump is planning to hold a campaign event at the White House this weekend, a person with knowledge of the event told USA TODAY.

Trump expects to speak from a balcony at the White House on Saturday, said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. Details were not immediately clear.

Planning for the event comes as the White House has been criticized for hosting an official ceremony last weekend on the South Lawn from which many attendees later tested positive for the virus. Dr. Anthony Fauci described that event, to mark the nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court, as a “super spreader.”

James M. Dahle, MD, founder of The White Coat Investor.

James M Dahle, MD

It has been recognized for years that our health can be affected by our wealth, or lack thereof. Stress is a major contributor to both mental and physical health, and financial issues are one of the biggest stressors around.

In my work as an emergency physician, I meet people who feel suicidal nearly every day. While they also cite stress caused by relationships, health problems, family members and work, financial strain is a major contributor.

Since financial stress  plays such a big part in poor health, it stands to reason that improving financial planning, literacy and discipline will also improve health outcomes. In my work spreading financial literacy among doctors and other high-income professionals at The White Coat Investor, I have often observed a great burden lifted from the shoulders of my readers and listeners as

Here are few resources for end-of-life planning.

Definitions and documents

When and why

Consider and codify your preferences when you’re healthy because documents cannot be finalized if there are questions about your ability to understand what you’re signing, said Maria Hunter, director of the public benefits unit at New York Legal Assistance Group, which provides free financial planning and legal assistance to low-income New Yorkers.

Be aware that if your wishes do not match the state’s framework, you will want to draft your own plans. Working with an attorney becomes more important when your preferences are “jumping the line,” according to Erika Verrill, attorney for

September 30, 2020

| Health Magazine

As autumn turns into winter, the world is recognizing that the COVID-19 pandemic is truly a healthcare marathon. The time is now for health plans and healthcare organizations to accelerate their population health capabilities. Here are five actions to consider as you engage in year-end planning:

  1. Prepare consumers for cold and flu season. According to the CDC, it’s possible to contract the flu and COVID-19 at the same time. To minimize the likelihood of this situation, it will be more important than ever for people to get a flu vaccine this year. Since the flu peaks in different regions at different times, there’s no ideal time to get a flu shot. Experts recommend, however, that most people get vaccinated in early fall.

It’s definitely not too early to begin immunization education and preventive care campaigns for health plan members. Providers may want to organize flu shot clinics at convenient times
