Lee Dingle, 37, was playing in the ocean with three of his six children on a family vacation when he was struck and killed by a powerful wave.

Two weeks after the freak accident killed her husband in July of 2019, Shannon Dingle discovered she was pregnant with his baby.

“I was terrified,” Shannon, a 38-year-old writer from North Carolina, told TODAY Parents, noting that she lives with chronic health conditions that would make pregnancy life-threatening.

Shannon, a former pro-life speaker, began preparing for an abortion. She didn’t tell anyone.

“I needed to sort through it by myself and I didn’t want anyone to convince me to change my mind,” Shannon explained.

Three of the Dingle’s children have special needs: cerebral palsy, HIV and autism.

“I couldn’t do it without my person. I couldn’t do

A mom who followed her instincts is the reason her daughter is now being treated for cancer in her eye.

It was July 30, Jasmine Martin told “Good Morning America,” when she saw it. Prior to that day, she said, there had been “a small glow” in her daughter Sariyah’s eye. “But that day, it was like a moon.”

She posted the photo to Facebook looking for advice. Several people commented it could be cancerous.

Martin took her daughter to the pediatrician, who told the Knoxville, Tennessee, mom it was nothing to worry about. But Martin’s instincts told her otherwise.

“It was going to take weeks to get an ophthalmologist appointment,” Martin told “GMA.” So, she said she emailed the photo to a friend who worked at a hospital, who in turn showed it to

As the coronavirus pandemic continues across the U.S., experts are noticing another wave of the pandemic with what they’re calling “COVID long-haulers,” or people suffering debilitating symptoms months after having the coronavirus.

Doctors say they are seeing many people who have recovered from COVID but are finding themselves still not well.

Caitlin Barber, a 27-year-old newlywed, is one of these “COVID long haulers,” who led a healthy lifestyle with her husband and spent time training as a runner. She was also a dietician at a nursing home.

Tinslee’s health problems require her to be hooked up to machines to breathe and eat.

The video above is from July.

The mother of a 1-year-old Tinslee Lewis disputes claims made in a recent court filing by Cook Children’s Medical Center saying they “don’t tell the truth” about the baby’s condition.

Tinslee has been hospitalized since birth with grave lung and heart problems. She is hooked up to machines in order to breathe and eat.

The hospital wants to end her medical care.

On Tuesday, attorneys for Cook Children’s asked the Supreme Court of Texas to make a ruling soon because Tinslee’s condition continues to worsen, according to a supplement to an emergency motion.

“Cook’s recent court filings don’t tell the truth about my little girl’s condition and show Cook’s will say anything to have my daughter’s life ended,” Trinity Lewis said in a statement Thursday.

I wasn’t always sure I wanted to be a mom. But I did know that if and when I became one, I wanted three other components of my life to be solid: financial stability, job security, and good health insurance.
