Some student athletes and staff members alleged the athletic department interfered with coronavirus reporting.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Colorado State University (CSU) has released the results of an internal investigation into allegations of racial insensitivity and the failure to adhere to COVID-19 protocols within its athletic department.

In the report, a majority of student-athletes and staff members said they did not believe there were pervasive problems within the department, but some did outline questionable incidents involving certain people, including CSU Head Football Coach Steve Addazio, who one person accused of attempting to threaten the integrity of the investigation.

This comes after two investigations from 9NEWS partner the Fort Collins Coloradoan where student-athletes and staff members alleged that the athletics department tried to interfere with COVID-19 reporting. As the number of coronavirus cases continues to rise, Tel Aviv-Jaffa has opened a municipal epidemiological investigation center.

The center, which has been opened in partnership with the Health Ministry, IDF Home Front Command and Israel Police, will be tasked with breaking the chain of infections and will operate seven days a week.

It will be staffed by 120 municipal employees and 60 post-high school volunteers who have pushed their IDF draft date by a year to do national service.

Col. (res.) Ronit Lev, commander of the IDF’s Tel Aviv-Jaffa Municipality Connection Unit, told The Jerusalem Post that the use of the post-high school students in the center is “unique. This is not being done in any other city.”

The city, Lev said, “wants to close the circle of those who are sick and get to them as quickly as possible. The faster we can get to him, investigate him

| Health Facts

On Dec. 4 Gabriel Romero shot three people. The 22-year-old Navy sailor was assigned to the submarine the USS Columbia and had just shown up for routine guard duty at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard.

Just minutes after he started his shift, he fired his M-4 rifle at a group of civilian workers, killing Roldan Agustin, 49, and Vincent Kapoi Jr., 30, and wounding Roger Nakamine, 36.

The deadly incident came seemingly without warning. Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard is one of the state’s top employers and biggest industrial bases.

An investigation into a 6-year-old boy’s death led to the detection of a brain-eating amoeba in a Houston-area city’s water supply, health officials confirmed this weekend. CBS affiliate KHOU-TV reported Josiah McIntyre was hospitalized earlier this month after contracting naegleria fowleri at either the Lake Jackson splashpad or a hose at his family’s home.

| Health Food

The Cameron County Health Department has concluded a month-long investigation into a mass food poisoning event at El Rey del Taco that left more than 30 people sickened.

The culprit? Bistek tacos.

“We received reports of 33 people who were seen at local emergency rooms and that prompted an epidemiological investigation which consisted of interviews with those affected, review of medical records and food sample testing,” said Dr. James W. Castillo II, of the Cameron County Health Authority. “The majority of individuals reported experiencing nausea, vomiting and diarrhea within hours of their meal.”

Four police reports first obtained by The Brownsville Herald revealed that 32 people contacted the Brownsville Police Department after suffering from vomiting and diarrhea after eating at El Rey del Taco between 9:30 and 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 30, with 29 of those people reporting that they ate bistek tacos.

Those police reports indicated that just before
