CLARK, NJ — Clark’s high school football team is being quarantined after playing in scrimmages against the Scotch Plains-Fanwood team who has reported two positive coronavirus cases, Clark Superintendent Ed Grande said.
The Arthur L. Johnson High School football team played against Scotch Plains-Fanwood team this past Thursday and discovered the cases afterward.
A Clark school district employee also has tested positive for COVID-19. The parents of students and staff members who may have been in close contact with this employee have already been contacted, Grande said in a letter on Monday night.
“Please know that we are not at liberty to share any additional information due to HIPAA guidelines,” Grande said.
The district is currently cleaning and disinfecting all exposed areas.
“The school is also taking precautions to prevent the introduction and spread of viruses and other germs and is cleaning frequently touched surfaces daily,” Grande said.
