Virtual Symposium Looks at Employment, Health Care, Diversity: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 14. Presented by South Florida Institute on Aging and AARP. Register at thesofia.org/aisf. $10.
Sawgrass Nature Center & Wildlife Hospital Fundraiser: Ends at noon Oct. 16. The project will provide Title-I schools with free educational programming. Resources are geared toward K-12 classes to bring them an immersive environmental science experience. Raised funds enable the center to continue rehabilitating and releasing native wildlife, as well as educating the public about the wonders of nature.
