Porsha Williams has been championing her healthy lifestyle filled with “baby vegan” meal plans, intermittent fasting and, of course, a workout plan. In a recent interview with Glamour Magazine, The Real Housewives of Atlanta stunner opened up about her commitment to her health and fitness now that she’s a mom and the surprising exercise staple she keeps close to help her realize her goals.
“Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is something that has always been a part of my life,” Porsha explained in the interview. “But before I had my daughter, Pilar Jhena McKinley, I let working out and eating right become too on and off.” Like all of us, Porsha struggled with keeping up with her rigorous schedule and prioritizing her health — but motherhood changed all of that.
“When I had PJ, it was like a switch flipped,” she continued. “I had her late in life, and I know that I want to do everything I can to keep up with her. I equated being healthy to feeling great with her, both mentally and physically.” So in order to get the energy she needed, Porsha did a little redecorating.
“I had no choice but to put my treadmill in my bedroom,” said the hair company founder. “So now I see it when I wake up, and I get right into doing about forty minutes on an incline at a 4.0 pace.” If possible, she follows that up with a virtual trainer in the afternoon. “No matter what though, I make sure I’m on the treadmill at least four days a week and I get with a trainer once a week.”
She also noted that she never skips on working out her killer abs in each sesh. Though she always takes Friday and Saturday as rest days, Porsha’s already making plans to incorporate boxing in the future. Queen.
When it comes to her beauty, we may know the RHOA mainstay for her glam lashes and flawless makeup, but she’s also a big fan of specific natural beauty products to keep her glow. “I swear by Aloe Vera Plant – I place it directly on my face and it makes my skin look and feel amazing,” she revealed. “I also drink lots of water, which has so many beauty and health benefits. I incorporate dark green foods as much as possible into my diets.”
