Washoe County reports 106 cases, one death

Monday, 4:30 p.m.

The Regional Information Center reported 106 new cases of COVID-19 and the death of a 70-year-old man with underlying health conditions on Monday.

Washoe County has reported a total of 9,455 cases since tracking began. 

There are currently 1,353 active cases of COVID-19 in the county, up 45 since data was last updated. The county is reporting 60 recoveries. 

Occupied beds in all staffed, short-term, acute-care hospitals decreased to 61 percent. Beds in intensive care units are 42 percent occupied. 

Nevada reports 463 new cases, no deaths

Monday, 11 a.m.

The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services reported 463 new cases and no deaths on Monday. Cases spiked on Friday with 602 cases. 

The state reported 341 hospitalizations of confirmed cases, up two from Sunday’s data. Hospitalizations of suspected cases rose by 25, up to 110. Occupied beds in the intensive care unit increased by four to 128.

A total of 6,913 tests were administered since data was last reported, bringing Nevada’s total number of administered tests to 1,040,432. 

Nevada’s daily positivity rate was at 7.9 percent, up from the past week. The state’s cumulative positivity rate is 9.9 percent, still several points above the WHO goal of five percent. 

Clark County remains the county with the highest case rate per 100,000, at 2,873.8. Washoe County follows with a case rate of 1,955.2 per 100,000 cases.  

Washoe County reports 81 new cases, 79 recoveries 

Update: Sunday, 3:55 p.m. 

The Washoe County Regional Information Center reported 79 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday. 

No new deaths were reported; 156 remains the cumulative death toll in the county. 

Since tracking efforts were put in place, there have been 9,349 cases in Washoe County; 1,308 cases are considered active.

Women and Hispanic/Latinos remain the groups most infected by COVID-19, according to the county’s most recent report. 

Additionally, the county reported 79 recoveries. There have been 7,885 recoveries to date. 

Nevada report confirms 373 new cases, three deaths 

Sunday, 10:25 a.m.

The state reported 373 new COVID-19 cases and three coronavirus-related deaths on Sunday, according to the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services. 

Figures reported by the state reflect numbers from the prior day.

There have been 78,728 coronavirus cases reported since tracking efforts were put in place. A majority of the cases have been concentrated in Clark County. Washoe County holds the second-highest concentration of cases. 

Nevada’s death toll has reached 1,585. 

Currently, 332 people with confirmed COVID-19 issues are hospitalized, 25 less than the previous figures. 

The state’s cumulative positivity rate was 9.9 percent. 

Washoe County confirms 96 new cases, one death

Saturday

Washoe County officials reported 96 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, according to the county’s Regional Information Center.

It was also reported a man in his 80s, with underlying health conditions, died due to coronavirus. The death toll in the county is at 156. 

Since tracking efforts were put in place, Washoe County has had 9,268 cases. Currently, 1,306 cases remain active. 

Since figures were last reported, there have been 67 recoveries. 

Additionally, the county reported a 6.9 percent positivity rate.
