Montgomery County health officials confirmed 98 new COVID-19 cases Monday with 39 of those active.
The Montgomery County Public Health District is continuing to process cases that were reported to The Department of State Health Services (DSHS) directly by healthcare providers and entered into the National Electronic Disease Surveillance System (NEDSS). Out of the 23 new cases today, 20 were tested prior to Sept. 7.
The county’s total number of cases is now 10,912 with 1,576 of those active. The county’s death toll remains at 140.
Total hospitalizations, both county and noncounty residents, increased one to 47 with 15 of those patients in ICU.
Online registration is still available for COVID-19 testing in Montgomery County. To get a voucher, go to mchd-tx.org or mcphd-tx.org and click on the “need to be tested” link. Fill out the information. A voucher will be emailed. Once you have the voucher, make an appointment at your choice of testing centers and get tested.
