Health Center Hosting Drive-Thru Clinic at Baum-Walker Stadium Sept. 30


Because getting a flu vaccine is more important than ever this year, Pat Walker Health Center is hosting a second Drive-Thru Flu Vaccine Clinic for the University of Arkansas Community.

Last week, the health center medical team — along with a group of nursing students — administered over 700 flu vaccinations to students, faculty and staff at Baum-Walker Stadium East Parking Lot.

  • Noon to 4 p.m.
  • Baum-Walker Stadium – East Parking Lot (South Razorback Road and West 15th Street)

The drive-thru vaccine clinic is for students, faculty and staff only. You must provide your UA ID card/number. Mask/face covering is also required.

The cost of the flu vaccine is $20 for students and $50 for faculty/staff; however, most health insurance policies cover the cost of the vaccine at 100%.

Important: PWHC officials will not collect payment onsite. All charges, if applicable, will be billed to your UAConnect account. Please make sure to bring your health insurance card/policy information to avoid being charged for the vaccine.

Health Center officials anticipate a higher-than-normal demand for the flu vaccine this season, so students, faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to get their vaccine as soon as possible.

Getting the flu vaccine is the best way to prevent the flu. Getting the vaccine early ensures you are protected throughout the entire flu season.

Take Everyday Actions to Protect Against Flu…and COVID-19

  • Wash your hands often. Carry alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
  • Cough or sneeze into your elbow or sleeve. When you use a tissue, throw it in the trash immediately.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Don’t share food, drink, utensils, or vaping devices.
  • Disinfect frequently touched surfaces regularly.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick, especially if they have fever, cough, and a sore throat.
  • Get plenty of sleep, exercise regularly, manage stress, drink plenty of fluids, and eat nutritious foods.
