DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Bucks County Department of Health recorded violations at 27 bars and restaurants in Doylestown last month.
Here’s what health inspectors found:
86 West/State Street Steak & Seafood, 1 violation: Several tables were not socially distanced inside and outside the restaurant.
Bacco Bistro, 5 violations: No food safety manager on duty as required; employee observed eating at the cook line; can opener and meat slicer had food debris buildup
Briarleaf Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 1 violation: Ice machine on third floor had mold buildup
Burger King at 506 N. Main St., 4 violations: Grease buildup throughout touch surfaces; clean containers being stacked while wet
Conquering Cuisine, 1 violation: Raw temperature products being stored directly over ready to eat foods
Empanada Mama, 3 violations: No food safety manager on duty as required; three refrigeration units not holding food at a safe temperature;
Gardenville Pizza & Deli, 3 violations: Food in hot holding unit not at safe temperature; several cutting boards not in good condition; cold water faucet not working at prep sink
Giant Food Store in New Britain, 3 violations: Food in pizza/pasta display not holding foods at a safe temperature; bunker coolers on display built up with ice; observed several areas to be unclean
Heirloom Doylestown, 2 violations: food in prep unit not being held at safe temperature
Kung Fu Restaurant, 3 violations: Rice in rice cooker not being held at safe temperature; garlic in prep area not held at safe temperature; frozen foods observed thawing at room temperature
Love Bird, 1 violation: Wiping cloths observed on food contact surface. Wiping cloths must be stored in chemical sanitizer solution.
McCaffrey’s Doylestown, 3 violations: Certified food safety manager not training or monitoring food employees; cheese and deli meats in deli not held at safe temperature
Mei Ting Asian Fusion, 3 violations: Can opener and peelers have food debris buildup; food not being cooled properly
New Britain Inn, 4 violations: Can opener, slicer and knives have food debris buildup; soup in server hot hold units and products in kitchen not at safe temperature; ware washing machine not functioning properly; floors under equipment have food debris and grease buildup
Omiza, 1 violation: Fish purchased in reduced oxygen packaging is being thawed within refrigeration but still under reduced oxygen. All fish must be fully frozen while within reduced oxygen packaging to prevent bacterial growth.
Ooka Japanese Restaurant, 5 violations: Knives on hibachi carts soiled from use the night before; food in refrigeration unit held at unsafe temperature; flies observed throughout facility; clean containers being stacked while wet
Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 1 violation: No certified food safety manager on duty as required
Papa John’s Pizza, 4 violations: No certified food safety manager on duty as required; hand wash sink in ware wash area is blocked; pizza toppings and other ready to eat foods are not being date marked as required

Wawa Food Market, 339 S. Main St., 2 violations: No certified food safety manager on duty as required; breakfast prep unit not holding food at safe temperature
Wycombe Vineyards Wine & Cheese Shop, 2 violations: Food workers observed using bare hands for preparing ready to eat food; no paper towels at hand wash sinks
