The Florida Department of Health reported 39 new cases of COVID-19 and 5 more deaths in Collier County on Saturday.

The Florida Department of Health reported 39 new cases of COVID-19 and 5 more deaths in Collier County on Saturday.

Collier County’s total number of deaths is at 216. The total number of COVID-19 cases is now at 12,656 in Collier. 

A total of 922 people – 907 residents and 15 non-residents – in Collier County have been hospitalized for COVID-19 as of Saturday, but that number does not reflect the people currently in the hospital, according to the Florida Department of Health. 

The Florida Department of Health is not reporting how many people have recovered from COVID-19.

Other numbers include the following demographics breakdown for Florida residents:

  • Female: 6,384
  • Unknown/No data: 45
