Princeton Senior Resource Center hosts fundraiser with Al Franken

Princeton Senior Resource Center will host “An Evening with Al Franken” 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, on Zoom.

Franken will discuss his time as a comedian on “Saturday Night Live” and his stint as a U.S. senator. Tickets for the virtual event are $60 and are available at princetonsenior.org or by calling 609-751-9699. Closed captioning will be available.

Franken won five Emmys as a cast member and writer for 15 seasons on “Saturday Night Live” and served in the Senate from 2009 to 2018 before resigning amid allegations of sexual misconduct.

Most recently, Franken has focused his time and energy on “issues like health care, the growing disparities in income, wealth, and opportunity, climate, immigration, justice, xenophobia, education, the role of money in every part of our politics, and, indeed, the very future of our democracy.”

For ticket and event sponsorship information visit princetonsenior.org, email ladler@princetonsenior.org or call 609-751-9699, ext. 103.

There will be an optional VIP virtual reception with Franken from 6:30–7:15 p.m., which includes a signed book for $200 per ticket ($140 tax deductible).

Proceeds from the event benefit programs and support and guidance services at the Princeton Senior Resource Center, a community nonprofit providing support, guidance, education and social programs to aging adults and their families.
