FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — Fairfax County’s Neighborhood and Community Services community centers reopened to the public on Oct. 13 and will be available by reservation only.
Centers will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. for self-directed activities, technical support, and the Parent Connect program only. Organized sports, team play and group activities are not permitted at this time. Wi-Fi will be available throughout the buildings. Reservations can range from 45 minutes to one hour. Youth below age 9 must be accompanied by an adult or sibling who is at least 10 years old. Participants must sign a liability waiver.
Reservations are only available to registered members of the community center. Membership registration is available online.
Priority will be given to different groups during some hours: 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for adults and adults with children, 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. for youth, and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for adults and teens. Adults with young children and unaccompanied youth will have priority on teacher workdays, staff development days, and winter and spring break.
The community centers will implement safety protocols such as temperature checks and health screenings upon arrival, frequent cleaning of high-touch areas, and a face mask requirement. Individuals must maintain six feet of distance from others, or 10 feet for fitness activities. Individuals who experience symptoms, refuse a health screening or refuse to sign the liability waiver will be denied access and asked to reschedule.
To make an appointment, call your local community center. Liability waiver forms are in English, Spanish, Arabic, Amharic and Chinese. Below are the locations and contact information.
